These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Simple Finance Tracker (the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of entering these Terms in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for maintaining control of your sign-in account and for activity performed through your Simple Finance Tracker account. Keep your device and authentication credentials secure.
2. The Service
Simple Finance Tracker helps you connect supported financial accounts, review balances and transactions, organize activity, create categorization rules, maintain separate financial profiles, and view summaries or insights. Features and supported institutions may change over time.
3. Bank connections
Bank connectivity is provided through Plaid and participating financial institutions. You authorize Plaid and the applicable institution to make selected account information available to the Service. Availability, balances, transaction descriptions, categories, and synchronization timing may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, or inaccurate.
You remain responsible for reviewing information against official records from your financial institution before making financial decisions.
4. Premium subscription
Access to the finance-tracking features requires an active Simple Finance Tracker Premium subscription. The localized price, billing period, and any introductory trial are shown before purchase and are controlled by the applicable app store.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your store account.
- Payment is charged by Apple or Google under the terms shown at purchase.
- Trial eligibility is determined by the app store and may be limited to new subscribers.
- Canceling stops future renewal; access generally continues through the paid period.
- Refund requests are handled under the applicable app store's policies.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service unlawfully or to access information you do not own or control.
- Interfere with, probe, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass Service security.
- Use automated means to extract data except through features we expressly provide.
- Misrepresent your identity or your authority over a connected account.
- Introduce malicious code or attempt unauthorized access to another account.
6. Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of information you provide or create. You grant us the limited permission needed to host, process, organize, and display that information to operate the Service for you.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, shared, retained, and protected. By using the Service, you acknowledge those practices.
8. Account deletion and termination
You may delete your account using the in-app controls described on ouraccount-deletion page. Account deletion does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. You must manage the subscription separately through your store account.
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a material violation of these Terms, protect users or the Service, or comply with law.
9. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, continuous bank connectivity, error-free categorization, or that displayed information is complete or current.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses resulting from reliance on delayed or inaccurate third-party financial information. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.
11. Changes
We may modify the Service or these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
